Seine Königliche Hoheit Prinz Hassan bin Talal, früherer Präsident des Club of Rome, präsentierte am 28. November 2007 im EU-Parlament ein Weißbuch (PDF, 2,5 MB) über das DESERTEC Konzept. Das Weißbuch und ein Action Plan (PDF) wurden zuvor auch dem Parlamentspräsidenten Professor Hans-Gert Pöttering überreicht (Foto). Eine Pressemitteilung und die Abbildungen des Buches in Pressequalität kann man hier herunterladen.
